Just before we do though, again there are a few things you should be aware of...
Some Mailing List Etiquette
- Keep it short, sweet, and on the list's subject
People are not likely to read long messages, bad language will not be tolerated and some list managers
will boot you off the list if you persist in writing off the topic.
- Be sure the subject line accurately reflects the message contents
Send several messages, each with its own specific subject
rather than a long message about lots of different things. People may skip your
message if they don't think that the subject applies to them.
- Make sure you are using the correct address
List owners may or may not forward messages you send to them by mistake and no one else wants to
know what commands you are sending.
- Remember
Everyone on the mailing list will get your message, not just the people who have posted messages
on your particular topic.
