Tornado vs. FenceTornado vs. Trees | Tornado vs. Fence | The Recovery These are the photos that I took of the fence for the insurance adjustor, since we repaired the fence before he could inspect. Quite a mess!!! As usual, our insurance only covered the removal of trees that fell on covered structures - house, fence, playground equipment, sheds, etc. So the trees in the front yard were not covered at all. :-(
Oak in back by barn fell from left to right over fence. Black walnut uprooted fence when it fell as well as falling on another section of fence. 40-foot(?) pine by the house fell in a different direction, missing the house.
Satellite dish smashed fence and itself. Large pine fell (toward camera) over fence. Also, the top of the pine left standing and an old apple tree at right fell on the poor fence. Two oaks fell (left to right), branches on top of fence. Oak branches reached as far at the house. (Photo is from second story window) Close call! Fence after trees removed:
Back fence where oak by barn fell. Corner from walnut to satellite dish. Satellite and shed. Fence removed where pine, apple, and electric pole fell. The fence held branches off the van but suffered for it. Back gate took a hard hit from oak. Oaks fell toward house along the fence. Tornado vs. Trees | Tornado vs. Fence | The Recovery |
