Jan's Working with Numbers

    Formulas: Exercise Excel 4-4

You need to use what you just learned, and maybe learn a little more. Complete all parts of the following exercises. Don't forget to backup your Class disk when you have completed the exercises or whenever you stop for the day and saved a document along the way.

This exercise can be an extension of the one you started in Project 2 or it can be entirely new.

Exercise Excel 4-4:

On Your Own

Use the spreadsheet you created for Exercise Excel 3-4  or create a new sheet. You should make the following changes or additions to a copy of the original sheet:

  • Sort
  • Create subtotals and format data groups and/or subtotals
    OR
    Create a PivotTable and PivotChart.
  • Insert image or AutoShapes for decoration or to point out special values
  • Insert or move columns or rows in a way that breaks formulas
  • Repair formulas
  • Create and apply a cell style

Print Print the original and revised versions with formulas displayed.

Print Print the revised version normally.

Save with a name of your own choice, but include your name in the file's name.
