Exercise Web 1-4:  History

Purpose: to practice using History to return to pages

What you will do:

surf some more!
use the browser History

Start with: IE Open Class disk

  1. Visit: Wander around a number of sites and a number of pages on each site.
     
  2. Display pane: Show the History list in the left pane of the browser.
     
  3. Today: Open the folder for Today to show the sites visited today.
     
  4. Return: Pick a page you already saw from the History list and return to it by clicking the History shortcut. Do this with several pages.
     
  5. Site: Select a site and open its folder to show all the pages you saw at this site.
     
  6. Capture image: Click the Print Screen key on your keyboard to capture an image of your computer screen. Open the program Paint. Maximize Paint. Paste the image you captured into Paint. Check Print Preview. If your expanded site list does not show, select Undo. Increase the size of the white area by dragging the handles. Paste again. Be sure the word Today shows also.
